Eyelash Extension Services

atlanta eyelash extension salonWant Xtreme® Lashes?

Our Atlanta lash stylist can add length, thickness, and volume to a patient’s very own eyelashes. These semi-permanent extensions come in different thicknesses, lengths, and even different curls to enhance your eyes’ natural beauty. Due to the growth cycle of the eyelash (45-90 days), eyelash extensions can last 30-60 days with preservation. Patients may have to return a couple of weeks after their initial treatment for a touch up.

Our Xtreme® Lash extensions are safe, but people with very sensitive eyes, who rub their eyes often, have a cold, or those who don’t have eyelashes at all may not be candidates for extensions. Like all AYA skin care products, we use medical-grade adhesive to glue the extensions directly to your lashes (1mm from the eyelid so it does not touch the skin).  Although only certain types of mascara can be used, other makeup can be applied normally after your eyelash extensions are in place—if you even need it! Eyelash curlers are off limits, though. You can have extensions with a curl applied if desired and save yourself a step in the morning.

During your appointment at our Atlanta, GA medical spa, our lash stylist will help you choose which extensions will best compliment your appearance. Because of her experience and attention to detail, the application process can last 1-3 hours depending on how many extensions you’re receiving. Contact us today to schedule your appointment. Be sure to look into our permanent makeup services as well if you’re interested in an even more convenient morning routine.

Frequently Asked Questions about Eyelash Extensions

Who can wear eyelash extensions?

Almost anyone can wear Xtreme® Lash extensions, but some people with sensitive eyes may not be able to wear them. For instance, people who are always rubbing their eyes and those who are sensitive to eye makeup do not make the best candidates. Likewise those who have very curly lashes or are suffering a cold aren’t the best candidates either because the lashes are more prone to fall off of highly textured hair or extended exposure to lots of moisture (like teary eyes). Since eyelash extensions are applied to the eyelash itself rather than the skin, people without eyelashes cannot get extensions.

How long will my extensions last?

Eyelash extensions can last 30-60 days depending on their care. Just like the rest of your hair, your eyelashes go through growth and shedding cycles. The typical life of a single eyelash is 45-90 days, which has quite a bit to do with how long your extensions will stay looking great before you need a touch up. You can maximize the longevity of your lash extensions by carefully following the aftercare instructions that will be provided at the end of your appointment.

Will I need to get touch ups?

Similar to fake fingernails, many clients get eyelash extension touch ups to postpone having to get all new extensions. Many patients receive lash touch ups every 2-3 weeks as needed while others wait until they need new extensions to return.

How do I take care of my extensions?

We will give you aftercare instructions before you leave our office, just like we do with any of our cosmetic services that require maintenance. Generally speaking, those with new eyelash extensions shouldn’t shower or wash their eyes for 24 hours after the application. Also avoid the spa or swimming for 48 hours so that the adhesive can sufficiently bond. Extensions will last longer the less they are touched, so try to avoided rubbing the eyes. You can use mascara, but DO NOT USE OIL-BASED or WATERPROOF MASCARA on extensions. Only use the recommended mascaras, and do not use eyelash curlers with extensions.
