Matrix RF Fractional Skin Resurfacing

Performed at our Northside (Atlanta, GA) & Phipps Plaza locations.

The technology behind the Matrix RF Fractional Skin Resurfacing system uses fractionated pulses of radio waves to induce the body’s healing process to occur at an accelerated rate, which increases collagen production and creates beautiful, healthy-looking skin. Perfect for improving surface imperfections like scars, brown spots (melasma), wrinkles, or texture irregularities, Matrix RF can provide a more youthful appearance for patients of any skin tone. In just three treatment sessions spaced four to six weeks apart, you will reveal a younger, tighter complexion.

Fractional Skin Resurfacing FAQs

How does Matrix RF fractional skin resurfacing work?
Matrix RF fractional skin resurfacing works by emitting fractionated, radio frequency, technically damaging skin cells in order to stimulate an accelerated healing process. This skin resurfacing system is perfect for treating mild to moderate wrinkles, erasing superficial skin discolorations, and smoothing irregular skin texture.

Am I a good candidate for Matrix RF fractional Skin Resurfacing?
While the Matrix RF Fractional Skin Resurfacing is safe and effective for most skin types, a skin analysis with one of our licensed estheticians will help you determine whether the Matrix RF is a suitable treatment option for your skin condition or if another one of our services, like a chemical peel or microdermabrasion, would serve as a better option.

Are multiple skin resurfacing treatments necessary? When will I start seeing results?
Multiple skin resurfacing treatment sessions are not required, and you will see results with just one Matrix RF treatment. However, depending on the complexity of your skin issue(s), we’ve found that patients see the best results with three treatments spaced four to six weeks apart.

What can I expect during my Matrix RF treatment?
During Matrix RF skin resurfacing treatment, patients report feeling a warm, prickly sensation as the energy is applied to their skin. Topical anesthetics and cooling techniques are used during the treatment to minimize any discomfort. Immediately following the treatment, patients often experience flushing similar to the look and feel of sunburn which will dissipate within a few days following treatment

How is Matrix RF treatment different from fractionated CO2 laser skin resurfacing or Fraxel?
Both Matrix RF and Fractionated CO2 (Fraxel) skin treatment are used in facial rejuvenation to increase collagen production and decrease skin texture irregularities, wrinkles, and pigmentation issues; however, instead of using laser light like Fractionated CO2 treatment, Matrix RF uses tiny columns of concentrated radio waves to create tiny dots in the skin that cause the body’s healing response to increase collagen production and create new, younger-looking skin cells in the treatment area. Because of the type and strength of energy used in Matrix RF treatment, it is safe on all skin types and tones unlike some light-based treatments that can produce pigmentation issues and complications with some complexions.
