When you are a baby, your skin is perfect. It is soft, firm and glows with health. But as you mature, usually sometime in your 30's, your skin begins to lose its ability to stay healthy. Collagen breaks down. The skin loses its elasticity. Cell turnover and the flow of moisture from deep within begins to slow. Gentle Cleanser
A dissolving cleanser recommended for cleaning normal to dry, sensitive skin. It helps remove impurities, make-up, dead skin cells, and excess oil without irritating the skin. This formulation is designed to clean the skin surface and pores gently and effectively. Wash the face morning and evening with the cleanser.

Foaming Gel
Recommended for normal to oily skin. It deep cleans the skin and removes excess oil without stripping it of moisture. Wash the face morning and evening with the gel.

Toner
A applied after cleansing the skin. This restores the skin's natural pH, enhances the action of the cleansers, and prepares the skin for the Correct and Stimulate steps. Unlike most toners, the Obagi Toner formulation does not dry the skin excessively. This formulation is designed to tighten the skin and pores. The toner should be applied after the skin is cleansed to the entire face avoiding the upper and lower lids of the eyes. Do not rinse off.

Clear
Clear is the major bleaching and correcting preparation in the program. It contains 4% Hydroquinone (prescription strength) as the active ingredient in an activating base to increase its effectiveness. Bleaching with hydroquinone suppresses the overproduction of melanin. Clear is to be used twice daily until the expected results have been achieved. Thereafter, it is to be used as needed to maintain results. Apply Clear to the entire face, morning and evening, avoiding the eyelids, extended to the hairline, over the ears and ending with a feathering motion from the jawline down the neck. A second coat can be applied over darker pigmented lesions. Patients with dark skin should use Clear on the entire face once a day, preferably in the morning and apply at night on the darkest areas only.

Exfoderm Forte
Exfoderm Forte is the product used in the system for exfoliation and to help enhance the hydroquinone and tretinoin activity. It contains AHA's: lactic acid and glycolic acid. Exfoderm Forte is indicated for thick, oily, large pores, and/or rough skin. Apply Exfoderm Forte evenly over entire face avoiding the eyelid area. It is to be applied in the morning after the application of Clear. It may occasionally cause stinging upon application.

Exfoderm
Exfoderm contains phytic acid which is gentler than AHAs. It helps with keratolytic and exfoliating activity. It also helps enhance the activity of hydroquinone and tretinoin. Exfoderm is indicated for dry, thin, or sensitive skin and is to be applied in the morning after the application of Clear. Apply Exfoderm evenly over entire face avoiding the eyelid area.

Tretinoin
To be coordinated with Blender. Tretinoin .5% should be sold to patients with dry/sensitive/combination skin to start out with. They can then work their way up to 1%. Tretinoin 1% should be sold to patients with oily/thick skin.

Blender
Blender contains a specific formulation of 4% hydroquinone and an activating base that complements retinoin activity and provides blending along with stimulation. Apply evenly to the entire face, avoiding the eyelids, extending to the hairline, over the ears and ending with a feathering motion from the jawline down the neck.

Sunfader
Sunfader contains octyl methoxycinnamate 7.5% and oxybenzone 5.5% for protection from both UVA and UVB light rays and 4% hydroquinone. It has an SPF of 15 and is PABA free (a known sensitizing agent). Application every four (4) hours is recommended during sun exposure. Because this product contains hydroquinone, it is particularly suitable for persons with pigmentation problems. Sunfader should be applied after application of either Exfoderm or Exfoderm Forte.

ELASTIderm
This eye cream uses a breakthrough bi-mineral complex to help replenish and crosslink elastin, and build collagen to give your skin functional elasticity. You will notice a visible reduction in fine lines and wrinkles as well as increased firmness and resiliance. Most patients notice a visible difference in 2 weeks!

ELASTIderm Décolletage System
This is a revolutionary skincare system designed to reduce hyperpigmentation (discoloration), age spots and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on the delicate chest and neck area

Tolereen
Tolereen, containing .5% hydrocortisone in a special moisturizing base, is formulated to help suppress irritation, sensitivity, and itching. Tolereen can be used as needed, alone or with a moisturizer to increase comfort for any patient having severe anticipated reactions to the treatment. Note: Tretinoin, Exfoderm Forte, or Exfoderm can be discontinued for one to two days and Tolereen applied until reactions stop and the patient feels more comfortable. This break in treatment can be repeated when needed until a natural tolerance is achieved. Tolereen can also be used occasionally without discontinuing Tretinoin or the Exfoderm preparations to increase comfort.

Action
Action is a mild, well-tolerated moisturizer that can be used for comfort during the program and after procedures, such as the Blue Peel or laser resurfacing. It is gentle on all skin types, does not feel oily, and does not clog pores. Use sparingly only when the skin is uncomfortably dry. Action can also be used to cut the strength of the Exfoderm, Exfoderm Forte, or Clear.

Healthy Skin Protection SPF 35
Contains 9% micronized zinc oxide which provides the best UVA coverage available. It also contains octinoxate, a non-irritating UVB-fighting ingredient. Healthy Skin Protection should be put on every morning after all other products are applied. This is the last step each morning.

Attacks free oxygen radicals. In addition to its function as a powerful antioxidant, Vitamin C also encourages the production of collagen and elastin. Used daily, Obagi Professional-C Serums can help restore the luster and youthfulness that time has taken away.
