diVa™ Vaginal Laser Rejuvenation Therapy

Performed at our Northside (Atlanta, GA) location.

Introducing diVa™ Vaginal Laser Rejuvenation TherapyAs we get older, the body’s soft tissues inevitably start to lose their natural elasticity and succumb to the forces of gravity and time. This process is actually the underlying cause behind many of symptoms that we associate with aging, like facial wrinkles or sagging skin under the arms, and just like any other part of the human body, a woman’s vagina can change over time as well. Childbirth may stretch the vaginal canal and the surrounding tissue and the decreased estrogen production that accompanies menopause or a hysterectomy can lead to thinning, drying, or inflammation of the vaginal walls. Now diVa™, a breakthrough resurfacing procedure designed for laser vaginal therapy, can help women feel more like their younger, vital selves again. If the contours of your vaginal structures have altered and stretched over time, if you experience soreness or pain with sexual activity, bicycle riding or horseback riding, or if the effects of multiple vaginal deliveries have led to reduced sensation during intercourse, then diVa™ vaginal laser rejuvenation therapy may be right for you.

diVa™ is the world’s first and only hybrid fractional laser treatment designed exclusively to address a woman’s most intimate challenges. It utilizes the dual-wavelength technology of the proven effective Halo™ hybrid fractional laser system to gently remove dead and damaged cells from the skin’s surface while simultaneously stimulating collagen growth to tighten and rejuvenate underlying tissue.  Its unique, ergonomic design maximizes patient comfort and, like all treatments performed with the fully-adjustable Sciton® laser, the diVa™ system can be customized to fulfil each patient’s individual needs and personal aesthetic goals.

For women who desire re-contouring after childbirth, significant weight loss, aging, or injury to genital structures, vaginal rejuvenation with the diVa™ vaginal laser rejuvenation system offers increased self-confidence and comfort with little or no downtime. Treatment can be completed in our office in as little as three to five minutes and patients can generally resume their ordinary activities immediately thereafter, with virtually no discomfort or need for recovery. Significant improvement is frequently noticeable after just a single session, but additional sessions are generally recommended in order to achieve and maintain optimal results.

Our Medical Director, Dr. James Namnoum describes a new technology that restores function and form to the vagina following childbirth without surgery.

Whether you’ve gone through childbirth or menopause, or just want to feel like yourself again, take back control of your body with diVa™!

Frequently Asked Questions about diVa™ Vaginal Laser Rejuvenation Therapy

Who is an ideal candidate for diVa™ Vaginal Laser Rejuvenation Therapy?
Laser Vaginal Therapy is designed to help those women who would like to improve the quality of their vaginal tissue, particularly if their vaginal structures have become stretched by giving birth to one or more children. Women experiencing thinning, drying, or inflammation of the vaginal walls after undergoing menopause or a hysterectomy also may often benefit from vaginal rejuvenation.

What can I expect from diVa™ Vaginal Laser Rejuvenation treatments?
By combining an innovative, ergonomic design with the speed and efficiency of the Halo™ laser, the diVa™ system optimizes patient comfort and ease of use.  It takes only three to five minutes to fractionally resurface the full length of a vaginal canal and patients will only experience a slight pressure against the vaginal wall during the procedure. Some patients may experience increased sensitivity near the vaginal opening, but discomfort is usually minimal.

How many diVa™ Vaginal Laser Rejuvenation treatments are usually recommended?
Every patient is unique, but the diVa™ laser vaginal therapy, like all Sciton® laser treatments, can be individually customized to each patient’s personal requirements. Generally, we recommend that patients undergo between 1 – 3 procedures spaced every four weeks apart, followed by one treatment every 6 – 12 months to maintain optimal results.
