We have a variety of anti-aging technologies at AYA Medical Spa to meet the needs of our diverse patient base. Since many of these treatments produce comparable results, our licensed providers wanted to help patients differentiate each technology better. Below you will find a guide explaining how energy used during anti-aging treatments at AYA Medical Spa works to provide a more youthful appearance:
- Lasers – Laser energy works by delivering heat deep within the skin to induce the body’s natural healing response. Lasers are used to treat a variety of cosmetic concerns like spider veins, unwanted hair, and even wrinkles, but different lasers are used to treat different concerns. Our anti-aging laser system, eMax™ with elōs™ technology, actually uses combined radiofrequency and laser energy to target deep layers of skin, stimulate collagen production, and reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
- IPL – Intense Pulsed Light treatments emit high intensity pulses of a wide-spectrum of light during a short amount of time to induce the natural healing response and restore youthful skin. Our FotoFacial RF® and FotoBody RF® treatments use combined IPL and radiofrequency to firm the treatment area by restoring collagen and reducing wrinkles.
- Radiofrequency (RF) – RF energy uses fractionated radio wave pulses to stimulate collagen production by encouraging the body’s healing response. Many of our anti-aging technologies use radiofrequency including, FotoFacial and FotoBody RF®, eMax™ with elōs™, and ReFirme™.
- Ultrasound – Skin treatments that use ultrasound technology work by heating the tissue to tighten and tone skin without damaging the skin’s surface. We offer Ultherapy® skin tightening to lift, tone, and tighten loose skin.
If you aren’t sure which of these technologies will produce the anti-aging results you’re after, schedule a consultation for a skin analysis today. During that time one of our licensed estheticians will thoroughly examine your skin, discuss your skin care options, and determine an appropriate treatment option for you.
