How long do the results from Juvéderm® injections last?
Most wrinkle reduction patients who receive Juvéderm® XC see visible wrinkle reduction for anywhere from six months to one year after their initial treatment. Those who receive Juvéderm Voluma® often experience a more youthful, rejuvenated appearance for up to two years after treatment.
Are there any side-effects associated with Juvéderm® treatment?
As Juvéderm® results are temporary, there are very few side effects associated with these treatments. The most common side effects patients receiving Juvéderm® XC and Voluma® sometimes report is minimal swelling and bruising at the injection site, in addition to temporary redness. These reactions are normal and usually subside within a few days.
Are Juvéderm® injections painful?
Juvéderm® XC injectable gel and Voluma® are unique treatments because their formulation includes a local anesthetic or numbing agent, known as lidocaine. This mixture minimizes pain associated with the procedure. Additionally, your AYA cosmetic injector may also use a topical treatment or cooling pack to numb the area prior to treatment.
