Heat energy can be garnered from various sources including radiofrequency waves, ultrasound energy, and lasers. Our heat technology treatments can address skin conditions such as hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, acne, or scars. The most well-known heating procedure at AYA is laser treatments with laser spider vein reduction, laser hair removal, and laser skin resurfacing. To remove unwanted facial and body hair, our Candela GentleMAX^™ laser covers a larger surface at a time, allowing faster treatment times. Laser hair removal uses light and electric pulses to heat and help remove the hair follicle at its root without affecting surrounding skin. Similarly, laser vein removal is performed with our Sciton^® laser system to produce photothermal energy and treat visible veins.

Our Sciton^® laser system is also used for our MicroLaserPeel^™ laser skin resurfacing treatments. Sciton^® MicroLaserPeels^™ deliver light energy to exfoliate the top layer of damaged skin cells, allowing new skin cells to grow. Sciton^® treatments are customizable and stimulate collagen production to resolve a wide array of conditions from wrinkles and fine lines to acne and keratosis. Another skin resurfacing treatment includes IPL Photofacial & Phototherapy Treatments, which combines light and heat energy to treat surface conditions. IPL Photofacial & Phototherapy Treatments can be performed on the neck, hands, chest, and other areas of the body.

One of the newest skincare technologies is Ultherapy^® non-surgical skin tightening. Using ultrasound waves to heat and lift sagging skin, Ulthera^® can improve areas on the neck, chin, and face where sagging skin often causes a heavy, aged look. Like Sciton^® laser treatments, Ulthera^® stimulates collagen growth within the deeper layers of skin to tighten and firm lax skin. Another non-surgical skin tightening option is ReFirme^™, which uses radiofrequency energy to heat deep dermal tissue.
