Dear #AYA: Cosmetic Laser Treatments That Work Wonders

September 29, 2017 | Blog

Dear #AYA Cosmetic Laser Treatments That Work WondersWelcome back to another installment in our ongoing Dear #AYA series. One of the most common topics we get asked about regularly is the various benefits of our cosmetic laser treatments. AYA Medical Spa is an active member of The American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS) and we pride ourselves on offering the most up-to-date laser technology to safely and effectively treat a wide range of skin conditions including wrinkles, sun damage, unsightly veins, unwanted body hair, and more. As cosmetic laser technology becomes more advanced, the number of great treatment options available will only increase. To help you better understand what they are capable of, we have answered questions about three of our most in-demand cosmetic laser services.

Dear #AYA,

I have recently noticed small veins around both of my eyes. Is there a way to make them go away without surgery?

Sincerely,
Not Loving What I’m Seeing

Dear Not Loving What I’m Seeing,

You are in luck. Here at AYA, offer Sciton® BBL for patients like you who want to reduce the appearance of veins on their face. The Sciton® BBL laser uses heat energy to help visible facial veins collapse and eventually fade away. Facial vein removal at AYA is safe, simple, and does not require any downtime for recovery.

Dear #AYA,

I just had my first laser hair removal treatment a couple weeks ago and can’t wait for round two. How long should I wait before booking my next treatment session?

Sincerely,
Ready for More

Dear Ready for More,

We’re so glad to hear that your first treatment session was a success! As far as when to schedule your next treatment, the amount of time between sessions can vary from person to person. This often depends on the specific area (or areas) being treated and how much hair is being removed. In our experience, most patients require between 6 – 8 treatments, spaced about 4 – 6 weeks apart in order to get the best possible results from their laser hair removal.

Dear #AYA,

Years of living by the beach have begun to take their toll on the quality of my skin. Is there a laser treatment you would recommend for someone with fairly extensive sun damage?

Sincerely,
Seeking a Solution

Dear Seeking a Solution,

Halo by Sciton® Laser Resurfacing has long been considered to be among the most versatile laser treatments on the market. Considered the world’s first tunable hybrid fractional laser, Halo uses both ablative and non-ablative lasers to remove layers of dead and damaged skin while stimulating collagen production and tightening the underlying skin from within. Whether you are experiencing sun damaged skin, hyperpigmentation, melasma, or noticeable signs of aging like age spots or wrinkles (or all of the above), we believe Halo treatments can provide the relief you desire.

The results achieved with cosmetic laser treatments can be truly remarkable and will only improve as laser technology continues to become more advanced over time. Although we love answering your questions here, we know some people prefer a more hands-on skincare experience. That’s why we offer complimentary skincare analysis appointments at all three of our Atlanta and Alpharetta AYA locations (Avalon, Phipps Plaza, Northside). For more information or to schedule a skincare analysis, please contact AYA Medical Spa today. And follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Google+ for more skincare tips, special offers, and more.
